The Historic Games Shop specialises in European board games and dice from the Romans to the 18th century, and playing cards from the 15th century onwards. Our board games are hand-made
using locally-sourced quarter sawn oak, with wooden or ceramic playing pieces, and are carefully researched to ensure accurate, playable rules and historic provenance. We specialise in
reproduction chess, tables (backgammon) and hnefatafl, providing games for film, television and theatre, museums, schools and the re-enactor community. We also supply our most popular games on linen boards wholesale to shops, including to English Heritage and the National Trust. We welcome commissions and are always happy to discuss historic games at our stand at TORM or at any other time.
